there was Black Friday. Then Cyber Monday. Now, thankfully, there is Giving

found they shared a belief there should be a one-day annual movement focused on
charitable giving during the holiday season. They chose the Tuesday after
Thanksgiving as Giving Tuesday.
have decided to join this effort with what we have affectionately dubbed
#GivingTreeTuesday. We chose this name to both honor the selfless giving shown
in the beloved children's book, The Giving Tree (thank you, Shel Silverstein),
and to also highlight our more than three decades of work building a healthier
Sacramento region through trees.
