Celebrate California Arbor Week with us!

February 26, 2019

March 7-14 is California Arbor Week, when people all over the state come together to celebrate trees and the many benefits they provide. Join us for tree plantings, documentary screenings, a tree fair, and lots of fun!

Saturday, March 2 - Planting at Fisherman's Lake in Natomas

With a little help, Fisherman's Lake could be an incredible resource for wildlife and humans alike. We plan to plant 1,000 native trees here this season, and you can help make this vision a reality!

Thursday, March 7 - Made in the Shade Screening at Time Tested Books

This film captures the story of our town's transformation from the City of the Plains to the City of Trees and the ongoing story of our world-renowned urban forest. Stick around afterwards to chat with the filmmakers and Tree Foundation staff.

Saturday, March 9 - Planting at Valley Hi Park (Event full)

Let's keep growing our City of Trees by planting 20 trees at Valley Hi Park! Stick around afterwards for tree climbing and aerial lift truck demonstrations from City of Sacramento Urban Forestry.

Sunday, March 10 - Planting at Williamson Elementary in Rancho Cordova

Help ensure that these students have a beautiful and healthy tree canopy far into the future. Come join these neighbors to plant 30 trees at Williamson Elementary and Dave Roberts Park.

Sunday, March 10 - Tree Fair featuring TreeCircus in Rancho Cordova

Bring the whole family for a fun-filled afternoon learning about trees with kids' activities, hands-on displays, arts and crafts, and an educational performance from the ever entertaining TreeCircus. Be sure to bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair to enjoy the show.
