We offer expertise, training, tools, and advice so that we may empower our community to plant, protect, and learn about trees.

NeighborWoods in River Park

The River Park Tree Canopy Project is a community-based effort to restore and enhance the tree canopy in River Park. Through this initiative, we have successfully planted over 100 trees in River Park since 2015 with the help of amazing volunteers from the River Park community!

Join us for our fifth community tree planting on November 17 , 2018

If you are a River Park resident, sign up to receive free trees to plant at your home by September 30 . Your Community Forester will visit your property to help you determine which trees to plant and where you can plant them. Even if you do not want a tree for your own home, we invite you to volunteer with your neighbors to ensure that the entire neighborhood can enjoy a beautiful tree canopy for generations to come.

Meet your Community Forester

Rachel Patten grew up locally in Roseville, where she spent most of her childhood playing sports, and through that time, developed an appreciation of the outdoors and the majestic oaks which populate many of our local parks. She is very passionate about the human impact on our splendid natural resources, which drives her to be an advocate for our urban tree canopy.
