California Native

This California native is an essential element of Sacramento’s natural wetland and river ecosystems. California sycamores are identified by their grey and white patchwork bark and their star-shaped, fuzzy leaves. These trees thrive with ample regular watering but are quite adaptable once established and can survive low-water conditions. The California sycamore is quite tall and fast-growing, reaching a mature height of roughly 70 feet tall and growing as fast as 3 feet per year.
